We relocated to Mallorca from Yorkshire in 1999 and it was our own experiences that inspired us to set up Shortcuts. We experienced first hand the frustration of viewing properties that looked great on paper, but in reality were disappointing and in the wrong location for us.

There seemed to be as many estate agents as there were properties - and the agents' priority was to sell one to us without taking into account all of our needs and wishes.

Having gained experience working for one of the island’s largest estate agency groups we founded Shortcuts in 2003. Since then we have advised on over £40,000,000 worth of successful property acquisitions.

We are regularly contacted by magazines, newspaper and TV programmes in the UK and in Spain for expert comment and insight into the Mallorca and mainland property market.

We left senior marketing communication positions in the UK and this client service experience has uniquely positioned us to deliver an independent and proactive property finding and consultancy service.

COSTA BRAVA AND BARCELONA OFFICES - JOHN HIND

John Hind moved to Spain from the UK thirty years ago with his wife Ann, through his career in engineering management. They were so captivated by the lifestyle and beauty of the area that they decided to stop their travels and make it their home.

John's background in sales and marketing developed his sound skills in negotiation and research, which now provide clients with the best introduction to finding and owning property in the Costa Brava or Barcelona - where they also have a home.

Throughout the time they have lived in Spain, both have been closely involved with every aspect of buying, renovating and selling property in Barcelona and the Costa Brava.
